In November, Techtextil India took place for the seventh time in Mumbai. As in previous years, official German Pavilion participation applied for by the German Textile Machinery Association was part of the exhibition.
Around 250 company representatives from Pakistan and Germany (14 VDMA member companies) took part in the business initiation trip in November 2019. The association had proposed the event in Karachi and Lahore, which was sponsored by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), supported it together with partners and actively promoted it via daily, trade and social media. This was the third VDMA event of its kind in Pakistan after 2003 and 2006.
From 9 to 13 September 2019, ten VDMA members took part in a business trip to Japan proposed and co-designed by the German Textile Machinery Association. The company representatives were able to successfully present their technologies and services to manufacturers of technical textiles, nonwovens and composites and establish contacts with potential new customers in this difficult market.

16 member companies of the Textile Machinery Association presented their products and services during the business initiation trip from 25 to 27 November 2018 in Egypt. More than 120 visitors from the textile industry took part in the presentation event with targeted B2B discussions. In the near future, overdue investments are also planned in state enterprises in order to make them competitive again. In the interests of its members, the VDMA will stay on the ball and seek contact with the responsible political decision-makers.
Eight VDMA member companies took part in the government-sponsored business trip to Belarus in mid-July. The market certainly offers potential. The state-owned Bellegprom Group plans to invest USD 180 million.
Vom 10. bis 14. Juli 2017 präsentierten sieben VDMA-Mitgliedsunternehmen ihre Technologien und Lösungen vor über 100 Vertretern der kolumbianischen Textilindustrie in Bogotá und Medellín. Eine Zielmarktanalyse im Vorfeld, gezielte B2B-Gespräche sowie Besichtigungen von zwei bedeutenden kolumbianischen Textilherstellern Artextil und FABRICATO rundeten die Geschäftsanbahnungsreise ab. Diese wurde von der AHK Kolumbien organisiert und vom Fachverband Textilmaschinen aktiv unterstützt. Alle teilnehmenden Firmenvertreter konnten neue Kontakte zu potentiellen Kunden und Vertretungen knüpfen und zum Teil sogar Aufträge abschließen.
