VDMA members successfully met Indian Textiles and Nonwovens: German textile machinery ranks first.
India is a very important market for the German textile machinery industry, with an export of more than €255 million (+ 8 %) in 2017. Many German machinery builders have longstanding relations with Indian customers and quite a number of them also provide production plants and training centres in India. Not surprisingly, about 370 decision-makers and experts from the textile and nonwoven related industry attended the VDMA conference and B2B event called “German Technology meets Indian Textiles and Nonwovens” in Mumbai on 15-16 May 2018 (www.germantech-indiantextile.de).
ITMA 2019: fully booked
Until now, out of a total of over 1,500 companies, more than 200 exhibitors from Germany and Austria have submitted their application for admission for the leading innovation trade fair of the textile machinery industry (as of 3rd April 2018). At the same time, the German companies have increased their stand space by an average of more than 10 % as compared with ITMA 2015. Application deadline for ITMA 2019 was 6 April 2018. Here is the list of participating companies in an alphabetical order.
Investment Promotion Scheme India: New ATUFS Application Requirements for Textile Machinery Manufacturers
For the VDMA, it is clear that ISO 9000 or ISO 14000 certifications demanded by the Indians disadvantage, in particular, SMEs and they are not a prerequisite for the production of high-quality textile machinery. The Association and the VDMA liaison office India represent the interests of the member companies.
Press Release: German Technology Successfully Met US and Mexican Textiles and Nonwovens
The VDMA Textile Machinery Association has accomplished successful events for the textile industries in the US and Mexico. More than 80 decision-makers of the US textile, nonwoven and carpet industry as well as 25 leading textile machinery and accessories manufacturers participated in the VDMA textile machinery conference on November 6 in Charlotte (NC). The following two-day event on 8-9 November in Mexico City attracted nearly 450 customers and 30 textile machinery and accessories manufacturers, making it one of the most successful events of the VDMA Textile Machinery Association ever.
